Euronext's equity derivatives markets down for hours after technical glitch

A technical glitch at Euronext resulted in trading in single stock options to come to a halt at the exchanges it operates in Paris, Brussels and Amsterdam Sept. 9, Financial News reported.

The Netherlands-based group informed its members of a "critical issue" impacting individual equity options in all three cities — resulting in a more than three hour delay in the opening of equities trading, the report noted.

The London Stock Exchange also delayed market open by almost two hours in August after suffering a technical mishap.
