New World Q1 coal output up YOY to 1.87 million tonnes

New WorldResources Plc said April 12 that its coking and thermal coalproduction totaled 1.87 million tonnes in the first quarter, compared to 1.78million tonnes in the prior-year quarter.

Coking coal sales totaled 1.12 million tonnes at an averagerealized price of €76 per tonne, and thermal coal sales reached 805,000 tonnesat €47 per tonne in the quarter.

Year-ago sales of coking coal reached 999,000 tonnes at anaverage realized price of €90 per tonne, while sales of thermal coal was at566,000 tonnes at €56 per tonne.
