Japan Best Rescue System fiscal Q3 profit climbs 35.1% YOY

Japan Best Rescue System Co.Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended June 30 was ¥6.35 per share, an increase of 35.1% from ¥4.70 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥218.9 million, a gain of 35.1% from ¥162.0 million in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin rose to 7.2% from 4.9% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue declined 7.3% year over year to ¥3.04 billion from ¥3.28 billion, and total operating expenses decreased 10.8% on an annual basis to ¥2.72 billion from ¥3.05 billion.

Reported net income grew year over year to ¥245.0 million, or ¥7.11 per share, from ¥81.0 million, or ¥2.35 per share.

As of Aug. 12, US$1 was equivalent to ¥100.91.
