Transmissiondeveloper GridLiance GP LLChas named Douglas Collins as the president of the company's region.

Collinswill be based in Kansas City, Mo., and will manage the company's regionalbusiness development activities in Iowa, Indiana, Minnesota, North and SouthDakota, and Wisconsin, according to a company release.

A 30-yearutility veteran, Collins previously served as general manager of systemplanning at Alliant Energy Corp.and as president of ITC HoldingsCorp. unit ITCMidwest LLC.
