SunEdison to sell 2 solar farms in Chile

SunEdison Inc.has agreed to sell two Chile-based solar projects to Colbún SA for an undisclosedamount. The company will sell the 145 MW Parque Solar Olmué and 57 MW Santa Sofiasolar park which are under development, complete with their 15-year power purchaseagreements to supply 350 GWh of energy per year, according to an April 26 news release.

The agreement also provides for the transfer of another projectadjacent to Santa Sofia which could increase its capacity by a further 30 MW to40 MW.

SunEdison, which recently filed for bankruptcy protection, also signed a 15-year contract withthe Chilean energy company to supply 200 GWh of energy per year.

The company intends to develop a 100-MW solar project in orderto do so.
