Daimaru Enawin Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Sept. 30 came to ¥12.45 per share, a gain of 25.8% from ¥9.90 per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥97.5 million, an increase of 25.8% from ¥77.5 million in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin climbed to 2.5% from 2.2% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue increased 11.8% year over year to ¥3.91 billion from ¥3.50 billion, and total operating expenses increased 11.4% year over year to ¥3.77 billion from ¥3.38 billion.
Reported net income increased 32.8% from the prior-year period to ¥85.0 million, or ¥10.86 per share, from ¥64.0 million, or ¥8.17 per share.
As of Nov. 14, US$1 was equivalent to ¥116.46.
