SC Conted Q1 profit climbs YOY

S.C. Conted SA said its first-quarter normalized net income was 1.68 Romanian lei per share, a gain from 68 bani per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 402,430 lei, a gain from 163,660 lei in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin increased to 7.6% from 3.2% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue climbed year over year to 5.3 million lei from 5.2 million lei, and total operating expenses decreased 4.9% year over year to 4.7 million lei from 4.9 million lei.

Reported net income rose from the prior-year period to 540,530 lei, or 2.26 lei per share, from 228,420 lei, or 95 bani per share.

As of May 15, US$1 was equivalent to 3.88 Romanian lei.
