Natori fiscal Q3 profit climbs 8.4% YOY

Natori Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, was ¥61.99 per share, a gain of 15.0% from ¥53.90 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥795.6 million, an increase of 8.4% from ¥733.8 million in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin increased to 7.0% from 6.8% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue increased on an annual basis to ¥11.30 billion from ¥10.86 billion, and total operating expenses grew from the prior-year period to ¥10.02 billion from ¥9.69 billion.

Reported net income rose 14.4% year over year to ¥828.0 million, or ¥64.51 per share, from ¥724.0 million, or ¥53.19 per share.

As of Feb. 9, US$1 was equivalent to ¥118.60.
