Netflix plans to make Asian content for global audience

NetflixInc. is planning to export locally produced Asian content,including content from India, worldwideas part of its new long-term strategy, NexTV News India reported April 29.

Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos reportedly said thatbesides producing content for Asian audiences, Netflix is planning to work withIndian producers to make Bollywood movies a couple of years down the line.

Meanwhile, Netflix CEO Reed Hastings said that the streaminggiant's service has been barely optimized since its January for Asian viewers.
