AppleInc. acquired India-basedmachine-learning startup Tuplejump Software Pvt Ltd., Bloomberg reported Sept.22, citing a person with knowledge of the deal.
The iPhone maker bought the company in June but thefinancial details of the deal were not disclosed, according to the report. Accordingto Tuplejump founder Rohit Rai's LinkedIn profile, he started working atApple in May.
The startup's software quickly processes and analyzes largechunks of data. Tuplejump employs about a dozen people, with some based in theU.S., according to the report.
