Woolworths Holdings scraps regional CEO role in Australian division

Woolworths Holdings Ltd. has discontinued the role of Regional CEO in its Australian division to simplify its leadership structure in the country.

According to a May 22 regulatory filing, current Regional CEO John Dixon will leave the company and resign as an executive director, effective May 21, because of the change.

Meanwhile, David Thomas and Scott Fyfe, the CEOs of Woolworths' two Australian operating divisions, will now report directly to Group CEO Ian Moir. Thomas heads the company's David Jones business while Fyfe is the CEO of Woolworths' Country Road Group.
