Capital Dynamics to buy 50% stake in Scottish wind farm

Asset manager Capital Dynamics Inc. has agreed to acquire a 50% equity stake in the 28.5-MW Whiteside Hill wind facility in Scotland from GE Energy Financial Services for undisclosed terms.

The facility consists of 10 GE 2.85 turbines and has been operational since March, according to an Oct. 17 release. Capital Dynamics acquired the stake through its Clean Energy Infrastructure business.

The Whiteside Hill project is expected to be eligible to get renewables obligation certificates, or ROCs, at 0.9 ROCs/MWh under the U.K.'s renewables obligation scheme.

CD Arevon UK, an affiliate of Capital Dynamics, provided asset management services. The firm also manages Capital Dynamics' U.K. wind and solar projects.

GE Energy Financial Services is a unit of GE Capital, which in turn is owned by General Electric Co.
