CYBELE fiscal Q3 profit climbs YOY

CYBELE Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended May 31 came to ¥16.96 per share, a gain from ¥1.75 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥24.4 million, a gain from ¥7.5 million in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin climbed to 2.7% from 0.8% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue fell year over year to ¥900.0 million from ¥922.0 million, and total operating expenses decreased 5.6% on an annual basis to ¥858.0 million from ¥909.0 million.

Reported net income rose on an annual basis to ¥23.0 million, or ¥16.01 per share, from ¥5.0 million, or ¥1.17 per share.
