The Enbridge Energy Partners LP subsidiary Enbridge Pipelines (Ozark) LLC launched a binding open season for firm transportation contracts on the planned expansion of its Enbridge Ozark crude oil pipeline.
Enbridge Pipelines (Ozark) is soliciting firm commitments for a minimum of 10 years. Enbridge Ozark extends from Cushing, Okla., to Wood River, Ill. The Enbridge unit plans to boost horsepower at the pipeline's pump stations and add drag-reducing agents to the crude. The expansion is expected to begin service in the second quarter of 2018.
Committed volumes would not be subject to pro-rationing to accommodate uncommitted volumes under ordinary operating conditions, according to a Dec. 15 news release. The open season is scheduled to close Jan. 19, 2017.
