Exxon Mobil grosses $1.60 billion from debt offering

Exxon Mobil Corp. raised gross proceeds of $1.60 billion from an offering of 1.305% notes due 2018.

The company plans to use the proceeds for general corporate purposes or working capital, investment in securities, redemption or repayment of debt securities, and acquisitions or investments.

Citigroup Global Markets Inc., HSBC Securities (USA) Inc., J.P. Morgan Securities LLC, Merrill Lynch Pierce Fenner & Smith Inc. and Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC were the lead underwriters.

Banca IMI SpA, Barclays Capital Inc., BNP Paribas Securities Corp., BNY Mellon Capital Markets LLC, Credit Agricole Securities (USA) Inc., Deutsche Bank Securities Inc., Lebenthal & Co. LLC, RBS Securities Inc., SG Americas Securities LLC, Standard Chartered PLC, Williams Capital Group LP, U.S. Bancorp Investments Inc. and Wells Fargo Securities LLC also served as underwriters for the offering.
