Fed to adopt interim rules on information availability, seeks public comment

The Federal Reserve Board invited public comment on the interim final rules it will adopt in connection with the Freedom of Information Improvement Act of 2016.

The amendments, which will be effective Dec. 27, aim to clarify and update the information-seeking process from the board, extend administrative appeals deadlines and provide more information on dispute resolution services.

The Fed will receive comments on or before 60 days after the publication of the rule in the Federal Register.
