Pfenex Inc. Secretary, President and CEO Bertrand Liang resigned following an independent investigation by the company's audit committee.
The investigation concluded that Liang violated certain bylaws when approving third-party contracts.
Pfenex's chief business officer, Patrick Lucy, will take over Liang's duties on an interim basis as the company searches for a permanent replacement.
