R&B Denims fiscal H1 profit climbs YOY

R&B Denims Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal first half ended Sept. 30 came to 11 Indian paise per share, an increase from 5 paise per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 1.5 million rupees, a gain from 637,140 rupees in the prior-year period.

Total revenue declined year over year to 736.0 million rupees from 772.8 million rupees, and total operating expenses decreased on an annual basis to 725.8 million rupees from 757.5 million rupees.

Reported net income rose year over year to 1.2 million rupees, or 9 paise per share, from 378,430 rupees, or 3 paise per share.

As of Nov. 10, US$1 was equivalent to 66.24 Indian rupees.
