The boardof Spanish insurer MAPFRE SAhas appointed Miguel Barcia Gozalbo to be the new CEO of MAPFRE Chile, replacingRodrigo Campero Peters who will retire at the end of 2016.
BarciaGozalbo, who is currently CEO of MAPFREUruguay SA, will assume his new duties in Chile on Jan. 1, 2017. Hehas previously held other positions within the group in Spain, the U.S. and Mexico.
For hispart, Campero Peters will remain on the boards of other MAPFRE units in Latin America,Chilean insurance units Mapfre ChileSeguros SA and MAPFREChile Vida SA said Sept. 29.
The changecomes as part of the MAPFRE group's management restructuring to improve its globaloperations, companies said.
