Colgate-Palmolive Co. said March 14 the company's board declared a quarterly dividend of 43 cents per share, up from the previous dividend of 42 cents.

The second quarter dividend is payable May 15 to shareholders of record as of April 19.

The U.S. consumer-products maker's new dividend rate is $1.72 on an annualized basis, compared to $1.68 per share previously.
