U.S.-based data center real estate investment trust CyrusOne Inc. received planning permission for a €400 million data center in Dublin in what will be its first Irish project, Irish Independent reported.
The project will span more than 32,419 square meters across two adjoining blocks on a 9.2-hectare site at the Grange Castle business park. The site comprises 6.3 hectares owned by the South Dublin County Council and an adjoining 2.9 hectares of land with three residential buildings that will be demolished, according to the Oct. 5 report.
Microsoft Corp. and Google also have large data center facilities in the Grange Castle park, the publication added.
