Bradesco proposes 1.49B reais in additional interest on shareholders' equity

Banco Bradesco SA said its executive board has proposed the payment of additional interest on shareholders' equity of about 1.49 billion Brazilian reais, corresponding to a net amount of 21.82 centavos per common share and 24.00 centavos per preferred share.

The payment, which is subject to approval from the bank's board of directors, will be made on March 8, 2017, to shareholders of record as of Dec. 21, according to a Form 6-K filed Dec. 9.

The bank's shares will start trading "ex-rights" from Dec. 22, the filing said.

As of Dec. 8, US$1 was equivalent to 3.40 Brazilian reais.
