Norwest Minerals outlines initial 65,500-ounce resource at Bulgera gold project

Norwest Minerals Ltd. outlined an initial resource estimate for its Bulgera gold project in Western Australia, totaling 65,500 ounces in the indicated and inferred categories.

Indicated resources total 1.2 million tonnes grading 1.04 g/t, while inferred resources were estimated at 760,000 tonnes grading 1.0 g/t, based on historical drill data and using a 0.7 g/t cutoff.

The company said Sept. 11 that it has designated funds to evaluate low-cost gold processing options, including heap leach processing and a portable processing plant. It plans to immediately start cost studies including pit optimization work to better define the economics of mining the Bulgera deposit.

The company acquired the Bulgera project from Accelerate Resources Ltd. in early July for A$220,000 in cash.
