William Irvine has joined Virtus Investment Partners Inc. affiliate Newfleet Asset Management LLC as senior managing director and head of institutional business development.

Irvine will head client relationships among foundations, endowments, public funds and multi-employer plans.

He was previously a managing director leading institutional business development for RBC Global Asset Management.
