S&P Global Market Intelligence presents a weekly rundown of selected executive management changes among the major Wall Street investment banks and other notable moves. The changes are listed by announcement date in reverse chronological order.

Dec. 6

Peter J. Solomon Co. LP named Jason Russell managing director. He will be head of industrial technology coverage within the company's technology, media and telecommunications group. Russell most recently worked with Citi.

Lazard Ltd hired Alexandra Deignan as head of investor relations. She most recently worked at Schnitzer Steel Industries.

John Song and Jean Stack, two investment bankers from Houlihan Lokey Inc., are leaving the company to join Robert W. Baird & Co. Inc., Reuters reported.

Dec. 5

Goldman Sachs Group Inc. intends to hire about 250 people in Warsaw in 2018, which could increase its headcount in Poland by nearly 50%, the Financial Times reported.

Steward Partners Global Advisory LLC said Managing Director David Bernacchia and Senior Vice President Darren DeQuatro joined the company from UBS Group AG. Steward Partners Global is a full-service independent partnership associated with Raymond James Financial Inc.

Piper Jaffray Cos. board elected Chad Abraham as CEO and Deb Schoneman as president, effective Jan. 1, 2018. Abraham is currently the firm's global co-head of investment banking & capital markets and Schoneman is currently the CFO and global head of equities. Current Chairman and CEO Andrew Duff will remain chairman of the company's board and retire as CEO. Tim Carter succeed Schoneman as CFO. In addition, President and COO Stuart Harvery will leave the company, effective Dec. 31.

Zach Oleksiuk, formerly head of Americas at BlackRock Inc.'s investment stewardship group joined Evercore Inc., Reuters reported.

Dec. 4

MTS Health Partners LP appointed Charlie Ditkoff as senior adviser. Ditkoff earlier worked at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.

First Empire Securities Inc. hired Christopher O'Connor as president. O'Connor previously worked at Incapital LLC.

Charlotte, N.C.-based middle-market investment bank BlackArch Partners LLC appointed Adam Huitt as managing director and head of the firm's healthcare industry practice. Huitt joined from Wells Fargo Securities LLC.

D.A. Davidson & Co. appointed Rishi Jaluria to the institutional equity research team to cover the software sector, with a focus on software-as-a-service vertical solutions and application software. He joined the firm from JMP Securities LLC.

Dec. 1

Guggenheim Securities hired Michael McCormack as a senior analyst and managing director covering telecommunications. McCormack earlier was a senior analyst at Jefferies, Nomura, J.P. Morgan and Bear Stearns.

Cowen Inc. board named Jeffrey Solomon as the company's CEO, effective Dec. 27. Solomon is currently Cowen's president. Current CEO Peter Cohen will continue to serve as the company's chairman.

Nov. 30

Adam Desmond, who was co-head of investment banking at FIG Partners LLC from 2002 to 2014, is now founding partner of the investment bank Needle Rock Capital, a division of Stonecrest Capital Markets Inc.

LPL Financial LLC added Red Wing, Minn.-based Discovery Financial Centers Inc. to its broker/dealer and corporate registered investment advisory platforms. Discovery Financial was previously affiliated with National Planning Corp.

Umpqua Bank hired Chad Riddle as managing director for its newly created division, Umpqua Capital Markets. Riddle previously was director of investment banking at KeyBanc Capital Markets.
