Old Republic Q3 results to include pretax operating charges of $150M

Old Republic International Corp. will include pretax operating charges of $150.0 million, or $97.5 million after tax and 33 cents per share, in its consolidated financial statements for the three and nine months ended Sept. 30.

The charges will include estimated general insurance claim provisions of $20.0 million associated with a current evaluation of exposures from hurricanes Harvey and Irma. The charges will also include additional claim and related expense provisions of $130.0 million applicable to the final settlements and probable dispositions of all known litigated and other claim costs incurred by the company's runoff financial indemnity business.
