Moody's assigns Tatra banka issuer ratings

Moody's on Dec. 21 assigned Tatra banka a.s. Baa2 long-term local- and foreign-currency issuer ratings, with a positive outlook.

The rating reflects Moody's assumptions of a high probability of affiliate support to the bank from parent Raiffeisen Bank International AG; the results of the agency's advanced loss given failure analysis; and the agency's assessment of moderate likelihood of government support from Slovakia when needed.

The positive outlook on the bank's long-term issuer ratings is positive, in line with the positive outlook on its long-term deposit ratings. "This reflects the positive outlook assigned to the ratings of the parent bank," Moody's said.
