Gamehost Q2 profit falls YOY

Gamehost Inc. said its normalized net income for the second quarter amounted to 8 Canadian cents per share, a decrease of 48.0% from 16 cents per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was C$2.1 million, a decline of 45.9% from C$4.0 million in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin fell to 14.4% from 20.5% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue decreased 23.3% on an annual basis to C$14.8 million from C$19.3 million, and total operating expenses decreased 11.7% on an annual basis to C$10.6 million from C$12.0 million.

Reported net income fell 15.4% year over year to C$3.3 million, or 13 cents per share, from C$3.9 million, or 16 cents per share.
