Atlatsa delays filing of Q2, H1 financial results

Atlatsa Resources Corp. said the company is not in the position to file its unaudited interim financial results for the three- and six-month periods that ended June 30 by the Aug. 14 filing deadline due to its recently announced restructuring deal with Anglo American Platinum Ltd., or Amplats.

The company added in an Aug. 14 release that it is uncertain as to when it will be able to finalize its financial statements and related disclosures.

In July, Atlatsa entered a two-phase restructuring deal with Amplats, which would leave both Atlatsa and its Bokoni platinum joint venture with Amplats in South Africa debt-free.

The British Columbia Securities Commission will issue a management cease trade order on Aug. 15, on the company's request.
