CYBELE Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal fourth quarter ended Aug. 31 was ¥9.13 per share, a gain from ¥3.04 per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥13.1 million, an increase from ¥4.4 million in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin rose to 1.6% from 0.5% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue decreased year over year to ¥842.0 million from ¥856.0 million, and total operating expenses decreased from the prior-year period to ¥822.0 million from ¥851.0 million.
Reported net income came to ¥10.0 million, or ¥6.96 per share, compared to a loss of ¥71.0 million, or a loss of ¥49.42 per share, in the year-earlier period.
For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled ¥25.23 per share, compared with a loss of ¥13.48 per share in the prior year.
Normalized net income was ¥36.3 million, compared with a loss of ¥19.4 million in the prior year.
Full-year total revenue declined on an annual basis to ¥3.42 billion from ¥3.47 billion, and total operating expenses decreased year over year to ¥3.35 billion from ¥3.50 billion.
The company said reported net income totaled ¥26.0 million, or ¥18.10 per share, in the full year, compared with a loss of ¥100.0 million, or a loss of ¥69.60 per share, the prior year.
