German finance ministry asks Ziraat Bank for documents, information

The German finance ministry has asked Ziraat Bank International AG to provide documents and information as part of a probe into certain unnamed individuals' taxes, Reuters reported Oct. 11.

The bank denied its business was under any investigation, according to the newswire.

Ziraat Bank International is a German subsidiary of T.C. Ziraat Bankası AŞ, which is ultimately owned by the Turkish government.
