Construction starts on 200-MW solar facility for community choice aggregation

Peninsula Clean Energy announced that construction of the 200-MW Wright Solar Park solar project is underway in California's Central Valley.

The community choice aggregation, or CCA, agency agreed to purchase the solar facility's output from project owner Centaurus Renewable Energy under a 25-year contract, according to an Oct. 11 news release. Cl?nera LLC manages the solar project.

"The size of the project is unique for a CCA and positions PCE as a leader in the industry," Peninsula Clean Energy CEO Jan Pepper said.

The solar facility is expected to come online in late 2019. Swinerton Renewable Energy has been hired to construct the project.
