Delphi Automotive PLC said its second-quarter normalized net income was 94 cents per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of $1.34 per share.
EPS climbed year over year from 93 cents.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was $272.4 million, a decline from $283.5 million in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin climbed to 7.1% from 7.0% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue fell 5.0% on an annual basis to $3.86 billion from $4.06 billion, and total operating expenses decreased 5.3% year over year to $3.36 billion from $3.54 billion.
Reported net income declined year over year to $346.1 million, or $1.20 per share, from $355.7 million, or $1.17 per share.
