Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. said June 18 that Laura Thompson plans to retire as executive vice president and CFO in the first quarter of 2019.

Thompson first joined the tiremaker in 1983. Before assuming her current role in 2013, she served as vice president of finance and has also led business development and investor relations.

The Ohio-based company has started a search for Thompson's successor.
