Big Camera Corp. PCL said its fourth-quarter normalized net income was 4 satang per share, an increase of 73.1% from 2 satang per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 142.8 million baht, a gain of 72.6% from 82.7 million baht in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin climbed to 8.8% from 7.2% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue climbed 41.8% on an annual basis to 1.62 billion baht from 1.14 billion baht, and total operating expenses grew 38.2% from the prior-year period to 1.39 billion baht from 1.01 billion baht.

Reported net income grew 89.6% year over year to 198.8 million baht, or 6 satang per share, from 104.9 million baht, or 3 satang per share.

For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled 10 satang per share, an increase of 95.2% from 5 satang per share in the prior year.

Normalized net income was 352.6 million baht, a gain from 138.7 million baht in the prior year.

Full-year total revenue increased 38.1% on an annual basis to 4.77 billion baht from 3.45 billion baht, and total operating expenses rose 30.4% on an annual basis to 4.19 billion baht from 3.21 billion baht.

The company said reported net income rose on an annual basis to 459.5 million baht, or 13 satang per share, in the full year, from 137.0 million baht, or 5 satang per share.
