Prolexus Bhd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Jan. 31 came to 4 Malaysian sen per share, a decline of 23.5% from 5 sen per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 4.5 million ringgits, a decline of 21.4% from 5.7 million ringgits in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin dropped to 5.3% from 6.7% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue came to 83.9 million ringgits, compared with 84.5 million ringgits in the year-earlier period, and total operating expenses came to 74.9 million ringgits, compared with 74.3 million ringgits in the year-earlier period.
Reported net income rose on an annual basis to 6.9 million ringgits, or 6 sen per share, from 6.7 million ringgits, or 6 sen per share.
As of March 24, US$1 was equivalent to 3.65 ringgits.
