HGGC consortium to merge Mi9 Retail with MyWebGrocer

HGGC LLC agreed to lead the merger of omnichannel retail solutions provider Mi9 Retail Inc. with MyWebGrocer Inc., a software and digital media company to the grocery and consumer packaged goods industries.

Private equity and venture capital firm General Atlantic and private investment firm Respida Capital, current owners of Mi9 Retail, are co-investing with the middle-market private equity firm in the merger.

The merger will create a retail software platform that will aid in the retail operations of more than 500 retailers and consumer brands, including Abercrombie & Fitch Co., BevMo Holdings LLC, Cole Haan, Giant Eagle Inc., Levi's, NIKE Inc., ShopKo Stores Inc., ShopRite Supermarkets Inc. and Tommy Bahama Group Inc.

Evercore, Raymond James & Associates and Jefferies LLC were the advisers to Mi9 Retail, HGGC and MyWebGrocer, respectively.
