Ameren requests FERC clearance to acquire 400-MW wind farm in Missouri

Ameren Missouri is seeking the approval of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to acquire the 400-MW High Prairie Wind Farm in Adair and Schuyler counties, Mo. from a Terra-Gen LLC affiliate.

The project will operate in the Midcontinent ISO market and will be interconnected to Ameren Transmission Co. of Illinois' 100-mile, 345-kV Mark Twain transmission line.

The High Prairie project is slated to reach commercial operation by December 2020. Ameren asked the commission to authorize the transaction by Dec. 14, 2018.

Ameren Missouri is known legally as Union Electric Co. and is a subsidiary of Ameren Corp.
