Acacia Mining plc has restarted operations at its Bulyanhulu gold project in Tanzania after fixing the overheating issue of the ball mill trunion bearing, according to a Sept. 27 company statement.
The company has planned additional maintenance work during a planned plant shutdown in the fourth quarter and a complete bearing housing replacement in 2017.
Acacia noted that there is no change in the production guidance for Bulyanhulu. The company expects to produce at least 780,000 ounces of gold for the full year.
