Caesars Entertainment Corp. completed its previously announced merger with Caesars Acquisition and completed the restructuring of the bankrupt Caesars Entertainment Operating Co. Inc. and its unit.

The merger follows necessary approvals from various gaming authorities and confirmation from the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Illinois for the operating unit's reorganization plan.

Following the merger, Caesars Entertainment restructured its board and appointed James Hunt as chairman.

Hunt is the former CFO and executive vice president of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Worldwide and currently serves on the boards of Brown & Brown Inc., The St. Joe Co. and Penn Mutual Life Insurance Co., among others.
