Report: AT&T to keep telco culture out of Time Warner, CEO says

AT&T Inc. CEO Randall Stephenson said the company plans to keep its "telephone company culture" out of Time Warner Inc. after completing the proposed acquisition, The Wall Street Journal reported Oct. 4.

Speaking at an event, Stephenson said the carrier does not want to "really screw it up" and is mindful of the fact that they are buying a business that they do not have a lot of experience.

While clarifying that the company does not plan to change the leadership structure at CNN (US), Stephenson said the network should not be of any relevance to an antitrust review of the planned merger.

The deal is currently expected to close by the end of 2017.
