First Mining names new CEO

First Mining Gold Corp. appointed Daniel Wilton as its new CEO, effective Jan. 7, 2019, replacing David Shaw, a company director who took over the CEO role on an interim basis in mid-October.

Shaw will continue to serve as a director, according to a Dec. 20 statement.

Wilton has over 25 years of experience in M&A, corporate finance and principal investing in the mining sector and most recently served as a partner at Pacific Road Capital Management, a mining-focused private equity investment firm with approximately C$800 million under management.

First Mining Gold's primary assets include the Springpole gold-silver project in Ontario.
