Report: JPMorgan eliminates debit card branch replacement over fraud incidents

Customers for JPMorgan Chase & Co.'s debit cards may no longer have their lost cards replaced at bank branches, The Wall Street Journal reported Aug. 8.

Citing "people familiar with the matter," the news outlet reported that JPMorgan came to the decision following an increase in fraud incidents, where more and more people with fake IDs have tried to take advantage of the branch replacement service.

Customers will now have to wait for replacements for lost or stolen cards to be mailed to them, the Journal added.
