Netflix shares rise as two analysts predict upside to Q3 subscriber growth

Netflix Inc. shares gained nearly 3% on Oct. 4 after at least two analysts revised estimates on the company's third-quarter financials, mostly to the upside.

Among them, UBS analyst Doug Mitchelson wrote that he expects Netflix to report better-than-expected subscriber growth in the third quarter with 3.95 million new international and 850,000 new domestic subscribers, MarketWatch reported Oct. 4. The analyst raised his price target on the stock to $225 from $190.

Piper Jaffray analyst Michael Olson also wrote a bullish note on third-quarter subscriber expectations, MarketWatch reported. The Piper Jaffray analyst reiterated his "overweight" rating and $215 price target on Netflix.
