W. R. Berkley Corp. appointed Dennis Levesque president of Preferred Employers Insurance Co.

He replaces Steven Gallacher, who was appointed the company's chairman.

Levesque served as president of the regional insurance segment at a U.S.-based insurance company.

Berkley Equine & Cattle named Sheila Gott senior vice president and equine underwriting manager, effective Jan. 2.

Gott will lead the Kentucky-based equine mortality underwriting team for the division.

Berkley Equine & Cattle is a division of Berkley Program Specialist and a company of W. R. Berkley.


Missouri-based insurance agency Powers Insurance & Risk Management named Kathy Pallarito personal lines manager, the Insurance Journal reported.

She will coordinate the lead generation and marketing efforts of the personal lines team, particularly for the private client division, according to the report.
