CT Holdings PLC said its normalized net income for the fiscal fourth quarter ended March 31 amounted to 1.05 Sri Lankan rupees per share, a gain from 20 cents per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 192.8 million rupees, a gain from 37.5 million rupees in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin rose to 0.5% from 0.3% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue rose 19.5% on an annual basis to 15.01 billion rupees from 12.56 billion rupees, and total operating expenses increased 16.5% on an annual basis to 14.28 billion rupees from 12.26 billion rupees.
Reported net income declined 26.5% year over year to 424.9 million rupees, or 2.32 rupees per share, from 578.0 million rupees, or 3.15 rupees per share.
For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled 2.75 rupees per share, a fall of 18.8% from 3.38 rupees per share in the prior year.
Normalized net income was 502.9 million rupees, a fall of 18.8% from 619.7 million rupees in the prior year.
Full-year total revenue increased 10.0% year over year to 62.45 billion rupees from 56.77 billion rupees, and total operating expenses rose 11.3% on an annual basis to 60.41 billion rupees from 54.25 billion rupees.
The company said reported net income declined 64.8% year over year to 396.4 million rupees, or 2.17 rupees per share, in the full year, from 1.13 billion rupees, or 6.16 rupees per share.
As of July 13, US$1 was equivalent to 133.63 Sri Lankan rupees.
