Report: PE-backed AirTrunk looks to sell stake to fund Asia-Pacific growth plans

The owners of AirTrunk Pte Ltd., including TPG Sixth Street Partners, are looking for a new investor to help finance the company's projects as part of its growth strategy in the Asia-Pacific region, The Australian Financial Review's Street Talk reported, citing undisclosed sources.

The other owners of the data center operator and developer consist of its CEO and Founder Robin Khuda and the special situations group of Goldman Sachs Group Inc.

One of AirTrunk's shareholders is likely to exit a part of their stake in the business and a new capital partner will be brought into the structure, the report noted.

In the week of Aug. 26, Goldman Sachs' investment bankers have started to approach potential buyers to gauge investor interest for a stake in AirTrunk, Street Talk reported Sept. 2.
