National Grid issues RFP for standard offer service in Rhode Island

Narragansett Electric Co., doing business as National Grid, on Dec. 9 issued a request for power-supply proposals for standard offer service in Rhode Island.

The company is seeking proposals for 50% of load share for each of the two industrial group blocks for the period April 1, 2017, to June 30, 2017. The company also is soliciting proposals for 15% of the load for each of the residential and commercial group blocks for the period of April 1, 2017, to March 31, 2019.

Under a three-step procurement process, interested bidders are first required to submit their background and financial information by 5 p.m. ET on Dec. 23. Upon receipt, National Grid will then assess each respondent's qualifications and notify any respondent that does not qualify before indicative pricing is due. All respondents must have an executed master power agreement prior to the submission of indicative pricing.

Qualified bidders are required to provide indicative pricing by 10 a.m. ET on Jan. 4, 2017, and final pricing by 10 a.m. ET on Jan. 11, 2017. Final pricing must be valid until 1 p.m. ET.

The required documents must be sent to Jorge Ayala by email to ElectricSupply@nationalgrid.com, by fax to 516-545-2464 or by mail to Wholesale Electric Supply, National Grid, 100 E. Old Country Road, Hicksville, NY 11801.
