CTBC Bank buys ANZ Bank (Taiwan) loan assets

CTBC FinancialHolding Co. Ltd. said March 29 that unit purchased on thesame day US$35.6 million of loan assets from ANZ Bank (Taiwan) Ltd.

CTBC Bank expects the purchase to expand its customer baseand enhance existing customer relationships.

Separately, the Taiwanese bank said March 28 that itassigned ¥1.50 billion of performing loan assets to State Bank of India.

Meanwhile, Tokyo Star Bank Ltd., a unit of CTBC Financial Holding,subscribed to ¥500 million of K. TMK bonds and ¥228.7 million KAY SPC bonds.
