DISH launches smartphone repair service

DISH Network Corp.on May 3 launched a new service for smartphone repairs in the U.S.

The service is called "Smart Phone Repair" and throughit, customers can call DISH technicians to have broken/cracked screens repairedand batteries replaced for their AppleInc. iPhone 5, 5c, 5s, 6 or 6 Plus.

Replacement parts are bought from third parties, and the pricesof repair are upfront and the same across the country.The service is offered to people irrespective of whether they are DISH customersor not.

The company plans to expand its service to more devices and smartphoneaccessories in future.
